NGFA - The Pet Food Institute and NGFA announced a major new joint conference focusing on the most important business trends, food and feed safety developments, and operational challenges facing the animal feed and pet food industries. The conference will be conducted by the two organizations on Sept. 22-24 in Chicago, IL. The conference will revolve around the theme, "Working in the Rapidly Changing Business, Operations and Regulatory Envrionment.

The Office of the Texas State Chemist announces two HACCP distance learning opportunities. Feed Industry HACCP is an online course that will equip individuals to identify and assess feed hazards and develop a plan. The course will be delivered online using a course Website in the WebCT course management system, email, discussion boards, mail and CDs. The course will begin September 13. Also offered is an Advanced Plan Development for Feed Industry HACCP beginning October 18, 2010. This course involves one-on-one educational assistance to HACCP coordinators developing an individualized plan for their company. The American Feed Industry Association’s Liquid Feed Committee presents the 40th annual Liquid Feed Symposium. The 2010 Liquid Feed Symposium will be at the Grand Hyatt Hotel/ Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 14-16, 2010. The Liquid Feed Symposium is the only educational program, networking forum and related industry exposition of its kind.  The event is specifically aimed at manufacturers of liquid supplements, ingredient suppliers for liquid supplements and equipment manufacturers or supporting companies to this unique and growing industry.  Decision-makers in the liquid feed field will be present to gain the latest information on trends, markets, potential regulatory issues, research, marketing techniques and other relevant topics.
